Money for Madagascar is a UK registered charity (number 1001420) based in Llangadog, South Wales, and in Lancaster, Lancashire.〔( Money for Madagascar entry on the Charity Commission Website )〕 It was established in 1986 to fund development projects managed by local partners in Madagascar. Money for Madagascar aims to enable Malagasy people to address the social, economic and environmental challenges facing their country. Money for Madagascar was founded in 1986 by volunteers returning from Madagascar who wished to continue supporting its people and environment. It became an independent charity 1991. In 2011 it celebrated its 25th birthday.
